Live Oak High School is a public high school located in Watson in unincorporated Livingston Parish, Louisiana, United States.

The school's mascot is the Eagle. Live Oak School began in 1895 when the Reverend Joel Ott donated a parcel of land for a community school. The citizens of Watson built a one room schoolhouse of about 20 x 25 feet. The room was built of cypress from trees of the Amite River swamps and boasted one front door and six open windows. This public school was open three months of the year: June, July, and August.[1]
In May, 2007, voters in the Live Oak School district passed a half cent sales tax to build a new high school. The current school will be converted into a second middle school for the area. The new high school will be located north of the present location on Hwy 16.[2]
In the Fall of 2009, the Louisiana Department of Education released School Performance Scores (SPS). Live Oak High School scored 106.7, up from 103.6 in 2008. The average score in the state is 87. LOHS ranked a Three Star School, and was listed as the top performing high school in Livingston Parish, placing it within the top 14 percent of all high schools in Louisiana.[3]
At the start of the 2009 - 2010 school year, Live Oak's athletics were upgraded from 4A classification to 5A classification.
